In the event of hard braking or an accident loose items become projectiles capable of harm. Other items (pew-pews, etc) are unsafe if left unsecured under any circumstances -especially with children present.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eWhat I needed was something that made the underseat space \u003cem\u003eaccessible\u003c\/em\u003e without lifting the rear seat, and remained \u003cem\u003esecure\u003c\/em\u003e in all driving conditions.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe solution seemed to be an \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003eunderseat \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003edrawer\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eA quick online search revealed there were other underseat drawers already on the market, but they all suffered from at least one of the following issues:\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003e*poor accessibility - drawer(s) that weren't fully accessible or couldn't be opened standing outside the cab\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003e*poor security - cheap construction (rivets, thin metal) that could fail quickly\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003e*low\/no configurability - no customization options\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003e*very limited applications - only fit one or two makes\/models\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eSo I decided to come up with my own design.
